FOREIGN CITIZENS MUST REGISTER AT THE MONGOLIAN IMMIGRATION AGENCY WITHIN SEVEN DAYS AFTER ARRIVING IN MONGOLIA

   According to the Regulation of Foreign citizens residing and registration in Mongolia, they must register at the Mongolian Immigration Agency within seven days after arriving in Mongolia.
   In 2017, Mongolia received a total of 540,000 foreigners, 4150 of them have been charged with breaking the Law Of Mongolia On The Legal Status Of Foreign Citizens. The number of arrivals increased by 10.3 percent and violations rose by 37.3 percent in 2018.
   As for August, 2019, over 3000 people were charged with breaking regulations; most of them were overstayed, did not register, and worked illegally or failed to carry their passport.
   If foreign citizens fail to register at the Mongolian Immigration Agency within seven days after arriving in Mongolia, then they will be fined 100,000 MNT. Furthermore, the inviting party will be fined 250,000 MNT for an individual and 2,500,000 MNT for a company.
