HEALTH INSURANCE FOR FOREIGN CITIZENS THAT LIVING IN MONGOLIA
Foreign citizens working for economic entities of all types of ownership, non-governmental organizations, religious and other organizations and citizens by labour contract or work contract, remuneration contract specified in a Civil Law on Mongolia and if not stated otherwise in international treaties of Mongolia or by foreign economic entities operating on the territory of Mongolia, foreign citizens project or program unit implemented by foreign aid and loans, diplomatic missions of foreign countries and international organizations shall pay monthly social insurance by compulsory.
Contribution rates for the Social health insurance are 4 percent of monthly salary and similar income. Therefore, for foreign nations with no specific employment can pay the Social health insurance by voluntary.
Every person enrolled to Social health insurance can get health insurance benefit packages from provincial and district hospitals and clinics as well as from regional and diagnostic centers without any regional restriction. And for types of Health insurance benefit package include Inpatient service, Day care, Outpatient service, Diagnostic service, Traditional treatment, Rehabilitation service (Sanatorium SPA), Palliative service and Essential drug price discount etc.,.
