PRESS CONFERENCE ‘TRANSPARENT AND ACCOUNTING MINING’ HELD
On January 31, 2019 the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industries organized the press conference ‘Transparent and accounting mining’.
During the press conference, D. Sumiyabazar, the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industries introduced the statistics of 2018.
As of the end of 2018, the sector accumulated MNT 2,051.5 billion to the state budget as taxes, fees and royalties. MNT 80.0 billion was accumulated from gold mining, MNT 910.6 billion- from coal, MNT 76.9 billion –from zinc, MNT 871.9 billion – from copper, MNT 17.1 billion – from iron, MNT 16.3 billion – from fluorspar and MNT 78.8 billion from others.
Against the same period of the previous year, the income to the state budget increased by MNT 456.3 billion or 28.6 percent.
As of January 29, 2019, 1408 exploration and 1677 mining licenses were registered at the Cadastre Registration System.
