TOURIST RIGHTS AND TOUR SERVICE PROVIDER OBLIGATIONS
Pursuant to the relevant law, tourists may expect the following from Tourist companies, agencies and tour service providers. As well they should follow a duty of care.
Conclude an agreement
The agreements between a tourism organization and tourist(s) in accordance with law shall provide followings:
- The official names and addresses, the state registration certificate numbers, and the bank account numbers of contracting parties;
- Composition of tourists, the tour program and other information related thereto
- Quality and price of the tourism product, and payment method;
- Duration of the travel, the tourists’ arrival and departure regulations, rights and obligations of the parties;
- Procedures to settle tourists’ complaints and disputes concerning services.
Performance of contractual obligations, termination, modification, grounds for considering the tourism contract null and void shall be as provided in the applicable provisions of the Civil Code of Mongolia.
Some information on the powers/powers sovereign rights of the tourism organization:
- To provide tourists with true and objective information on Mongolia’s society, history, culture, customs and traditions;
- To take necessary measures within its control, to protect and preserve rare objects of national, historical, cultural and natural value, and report the breaches to the relevant authorities;
- To set prices and tariffs for its tourism products;
- To conclude contracts with tourism service organizations.
- To offer guide-interpreter services to the tourists;
Endeavor to develop environmentally-friendly tourism that shall contribute to the socio-economic development of Mongolia, as well as to the health, customs and traditions of the population.
