GUIDELINES FOR FOREIGN TOURISTS IN MONGOLIA
Foreigners traveling for tourism are advised to avoid engaging in activities beyond the purpose of their visit. They should focus solely on sightseeing and leisure, refraining from work or business activities to ensure compliance with visa regulations.
In recent years, based on information of Immigration Agency of Mongolia, there has been a noticeable rise in violations by tourists from countries that use e-visas or don’t need a visa to enter Mongolia. Many of these travelers have been working without permission or engaging in activities that go against the purpose of their visit. This means they are not just sightseeing or enjoying their vacation but are doing things they shouldn't be doing while on a tourist visa.
Therefore, the law says that tourists cannot do things like trade or work in areas like health and education without permission. They also can't engage in activities that don’t match their tourist purpose, like promoting religion. Tourists should only use their visas for sightseeing and leisure. It’s important to follow these rules to avoid violations, and travelers are advised not to repeat any mistakes.
