This collection publishes in full, in chronological order, the documents relating to the history of the Mongolian Bar Association and the practice of advocacy. The laws and regulations included in this compilation have been obtained from the original sources, namely the official Government Gazette of Mongolia, the original copies held in the National Central Archives, and the State Information Compilation.

This work includes the Rules for the Conduct of Courts of Appeal and Prosecutors’ Offices (1924), the Rules for Advocates of the Mongolian People’s Republic (1934), Regulations of the Defence Organisation of the Mongolian People’s Republic (1952, 1965), Regulations of the Mongolian Bar Association (1978), Law on the Defence Organisation of the Mongolian People’s Republic (1986), Law on Advocacy of the Mongolian People’s Republic (1994), Law on Advocacy (2002), Law on the Legal Status of Lawyers (2012), including laws such as the Law on Legal Aid for Indigent Defendants (2013)
